About Me
When I first began using red light therapy, I was looking for something gentle — something that could help my skin stay youthful without Botox or fillers. I started with a face and neck mask, and within a few months, the comments I received about my glow (hence the name of this site!) were remarkable.
Later, after a knee injury, I discovered the portable Kineon device. The speed of my recovery amazed me and sparked a fascination with how targeted light could ease pain, support healing, and keep us youthful.
That curiosity turned into a deeper interest. I began researching how different wavelengths of light influence inflammation, recovery, and mood. After a period of burnout and a lung infection, I invested in a full-sized red light panel — and over time, the results were undeniable.
My mood lifted, my lung health improved, my menopausal hair loss slowed, and my skin looked radiant. I’ve not had a cold sore in a year; this in itself feels like a minor miracle. I‘m now a convert — an official light-healing nut.
Because I travel often, I still rely on my mask and Kineon as portable companions — proof that consistency matters more than complexity. I also use a Lumie Bodyclock to support my sleep cycle, and as a creative writer, I often use the light-based app Lumenate to spark imagination.
As a qualified hypnotherapist, breathwork practitioner, and Reiki master, I’ve always been drawn to the space where science meets subtle energy. Light therapy sits perfectly in that space—blending evidence-based healing with something quietly transformative. I genuinely believe light energy will have an even bigger role in the future of healing.
GlowTherapyLab grew out of this life experience: a place to share what I’ve learned, what I use, and what genuinely helps. I aim to make science-backed light healing accessible, inspiring, and beautifully explained.
